A quiet corner of the Pacific, five minutes from the sand.
Magic Place is a small collection of seven fully equipped studios, owned and run by a Costa Rican family. We built it for the people who arrive in Santa Teresa and quietly decide not to leave, surfers, remote workers, slow travellers, and also for those who come for a few days to experience the Magic.
Every studio opens onto the garden. There is a saltwater pool beneath the palms, fibre-optic wifi in every room, a real desk to work from, and the beach at the end of the road.

The grounds
Saltwater, teak and banana trees
The pool sits at the back of the property, ringed with teak loungers and shaded by a sail. Around it: banana trees, heliconias and a garden the family has been planting for years. Guests pick fruit straight off the branch.

Built for people who work from anywhere
We host a lot of long stays, so the studios are set up properly: fibre-optic internet that holds a video call, a dedicated desk with a real chair, air conditioning for the hot months, and a kitchenette good enough to actually cook in.

Accommodation
Seven studios, each with its own colour
Every studio sleeps two comfortably, up to three with the sofa bed. Queen bed, kitchenette, work area, private balcony, in-room safe, A/C and fast wifi come standard in all of them.

Saltwater instead of chlorine, a water filter in every studio so you do not need plastic bottles, bikes instead of a car, and fruit off our own trees.

Everything within walking distance
We are in the heart of Santa Teresa, a five-minute walk from the sand. Restaurants, the supermarket, surf shops and yoga studios are all on the same stretch of road, so you will not need a car.
